• Lives of 115 people were saved.

• As many as 2,475 dead bodies were retrieved and cremated / buried with dignity.

• 9,800 volunteers worked in the affected villages. 120 doctors gave medical aid to the affected people.

• 5 ambulances were operated for the medical relief work.

• 15 relief centres functioned round the clock.

• With the help of Salem Gokulam Hospital, a mineral water plant was installed immediately in Nagapattinam with a capacity of 20,000 litres per day.

• 4,27,500 food packets were supplied to the affected people.

• 10,23,290 kg of rice were distributed throughout the State.

• Utensils and mats were distributed to 26,860 families.

• 14,608 sets of family kits (containing essentials such as lamp, stove and provisions) were distributed.

The Total value of the relief material distributed is Rs.5.66 Crores.
