The Training camp organized at Nagapattinam in the month of Feb.,2008 is noteworthy.

Key note address, guidance and groups discussions held in the morning which was succeeded by participatory Model Training where a set of Volunteers were whose who take the essence of concepts to the people and another set of Volunteers were those people who receive the concept. By this model training many programmes like Deepa Pooja, Self-help group, mobile library and Tutition Centre and health education were taught.

In the evening the volunteers were sent to villages in 15 batches to apply the programme which they had leant in the morning to do it in action.

This was highly effective and successful.

When the Volunteers were sent to the respective village they can apply the concept in a realistic manner. With this participatory model combined with Theory and Practice, the Volunteers came to know the opportunities and challenges in the field.

ORGANISERS AND VOLUNTERS NO DIFFERENCE

In the Seva Bharathi the concept of leaders and followers does not exist. All can mingle with anybody and everybody without any contextual ups and downs. In Nagapattinam Camp, 83 years old, who can not walk ,Shri.Sooriyanarayana Raoji, [R.S.S. ] was staying with Seva Bharathi Volunteers for 2 days.
