Tsunami Rehabilitation - Keechanguppam

At Tsunami, my son is nowhere with Seva Bharathi my son is everywhere.

Dear/Beloved,

You look like my son who was taken away by ascended waves.

This type of emotional uprising was omnipresent when Seva Bharathi reached Keechchanguppam village this month, February.
Keechchanguppama is a coastal village of Nagapattinam District of Tamil nadu State which faced the highest impact in Tsunami. 628 souls went with the water. Thousands and thousands were rendered homeless and helpless.

Seva Bharathi Volunteers were a full swing meeting /attending requirements of the affected people.

One of the vital programme is the construction of houses for the people who had lost their shelter at Tsunami. 250 houses were completed and given to the affected people. Seva Bharathi volunteers visited the housing block for a get together and here u see everyone see the emotional uprising.

Each and every individual of the housing block invited Seva Bharathi volunteers to come to their house for a lunch. But the surprise is that the volunteers were 150 in numbers, but the houses invited were 250. Many had to take lunch at more than one home. It was not a normal lunch, but it was a grand feast. Few volunteers had to attend more than 5 homes. Normally, the demand and supply usually will have negative meaning. But in the cause of Seva Bharathi it carries a positive meaning. The real success is only through love and service of Seva Bharathi this is achieved.

To show their gratitude, respect and devotion nobody in this village went for their daily work and all are assembled to receive Seva Bharathi Volunteers.

With tears:
The tears reflected the misery and fury of nature done. And the tears, reflected the hope and happiness received from Seva Bharathi Volunteers.
